We talk about how Laura treated herself for her birthday amidst social distancing, and some of our favorite treats. We also talk about how self-isolating/social distancing is going, what we think the kids have noticed. Laura’s 4 year old has been fairly observant about the rules of social distancing while Caitlin’s introvert hasn’t seemed to be too affected. Laura worries about her son’s natural kid instinct to run to greet people. We end with only #igotthis moments, since we all need more positivity.

#203 – What it would be like if…
It’s still mostly Quarantine Talk. We’re trying not to play the “what it would be like if” game and trying to limit social media and news. This one devolves a bit at the end as our two-year-olds get involved. We recorded the next episode at nap time, I promise!

#201 – COVID QUARANTINE: DAY 1,394
Oof! Thank you for bearing with us listeners. But here we are! We are both safe and healthy, self-isolating with our families. During this episode, we update you on how our thoughts about the pandemic evolved, and what we’re doing now to keep both our families and our communities safe.
We talked about:
#200 – The Naivete Before the Coronavirus Storm
*DISCLAIMER: We recorded this podcast on March 11, which was just before it became abundantly clear to us that COVID-19 was not just on our doorstep, it was in our figurative yard, and in our figurative garage. Therefore you will hear us (and in particular, Caitlin) continue to question the contagion, the responses, the leading edge worriers, and overall what we should have been doing. Rest assured listeners, we have since done a 180 degree shift and are aggressively social distancing. Enjoy our naivete and blissful unawareness about what was about to hit us. Know that we have changed, that it’s ok to change your mind and do better. Please: STAY HOME.
Caitlin talks about a recent hard night she had with both boys, and how she’s begun snoring. Laura has been enjoying being out in the nice weather (blergh) and recaps Siblings Without Rivalry and How to Talk so Kids Will Listen and Listen so Kids Will Talk.
We talked about:
#199 – Are you in line?
Laura’s washing machine is broken and we talk about corona virus, so you might think for a moment that you’re listening to For Crying Out Loud. We also get into some hot regionalisms talk, so maybe it’s more like ARIYNBF? In any case, we then give pee-related don’t got thises and Caitlin loves to sing.
We talked about Line v. queue YouTube video– In this video, he consistently uses “in” for both queue and line.

#198 – Are We Ok With Pole?
We start off the episode chatting about our summer plans, as you do in February, and then look forward even further to kindergarten, ever looming over our year. Caitlin talks more about getting Joe evaluated for early intervention. We then spend much of the episode talking, way belatedly, about the Superbowl Halftime Show. Laura reads an amazing fan email, thank you friend!
